Wairarapa Wellness offers face to face appointments from a sunny office in central Masterton as well as online for those who are unable to make in-person appointments.
In 2022 the option of meeting outside in the natural environment, sometimes referred to as eco therapy or nature therapy, was first offered and continuous today. For more information on this option see the About Page.
To support parents and care-givers of young children to access counselling, Wairarapa Wellness offers the option of home visits.
How to make a booking
Wairarapa Wellness is a non-crisis service open Monday to Friday.

Fees
In-office/online sessions: $95 (up to 60 minutes)
Nature-based sessions: $105 (75 minutes)
Funding options
Some people may be eligible for funding from Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ). Check online to see if WINZ can contribute towards your counselling cost or contact Wairarapa Wellness for more information.
Accident Compensation Cooperation (ACC). A number of counselling sessions are free for those who seek support because of historical or recent sexual abuse. Contact Wairarapa Wellness for more information.
Gumboot Friday funds two free sessions for children and young people aged 5-24 years. Note Wairarapa Wellness only works with youth aged 14 years and older.
Viktoria is registered with TELUS Health (former Benestar) and OCP and provides a small number of counselling sessions for free to those who are registered with TELUS Health and OCP. Check with your employer, your contract or contact Wairarapa Wellness for more information.
Fees can be paid in cash on the day or online bank transfer.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to make an appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice to allow for other people to be scheduled into this time. Otherwise we do charge a $50 cancellation fee.
